• Chelsea may not have been convincing during pre-season but it would be naive to write off their chances of retaining the Premier League title already. The Blues have drawn criticism from some quarters for their recrutiment this summer, but having won the title last season at a canter, what changes were people expecting?
• Jose Mourinho's side produced one of the finest displays of the 2014/15 campaign when these sides last two met and Swansea will be hoping to put in a better performance this time around.
• If travelling to Stamford Bridge to face the Premier League champions wasn't already a tall order, Gary Monk will also have to become the first manager to deny Mourinho of all three points on the opening weekend of a Premier League campaign if Swansea are going to come away with anything on Saturday. 
• Chelsea are notoriously strong starters and Mourinho is expected to keep his 100% opening weekend record here.
