- Arsenal were torn apart at the weekend to leave their title hopes in doubt and Arsene Wenger will be looking for an immediate response against Swansea. A win would consolidate their spot in the top-4.

Prediction
- Manchester United's week turned out ok last week, with a 3-0 win over Olympiakos followed up by a comfortable win and commanding performance at West Ham at the weekend.
- However, they could top off a fantastic 7 days by denting their rivals' title hopes with a win here. City are still favourites for the title, but need to win their 3 games in hand and those start against United, who will be extremely motivated once again.
- Old Trafford will be raucous and create a difficult atmosphere for the visitors. Nonetheless, United were taken apart by Liverpool only last week and still remain extremely shaky at the back so City should be able to take advantage.

Real Betis vs Atletico Madrid Kick off: 16:00 Date: Sun, 23-Mar-14

- Betis' season went from bad to worse during the week. Bottom of the table for the majority of the season, the Europa League was proving to be a salvation of sorts for the team as they surprisingly made it to the round of 16. However, on Thursday night they let slip a two-goal lead over Sevilla, who went on to win penalties. Psychologically, it could prove to be the final nail in the coffin, though in La Liga Betis have looked dead and buried for some time.
- Atletico's season has recovered fully following some poor results a few weeks ago. With the Clasico taking place at the Santiago Bernabeu, Atletico will look to take advantage of any slip up between Barcelona and Real Madrid. They really could not have asked for a better fixture, as they will surely be too strong.
- After flirting with a 4-2-3-1, Diego Simeone seems to have settled again for a 4-4-2 set up. This formation has always heralded better results for Atletico and, away to Betis, it should continue to do so.
Real Madrid vs Barcelona Kick off: 20:00 Date: Sun, 23-Mar-14

- The game everyone is waiting for. Arguably the most anticipated domestic match-up in the world sees Spain's big 'two' come head-to-head. With four points separating league-leaders Madrid and Barcelona, this is a must win game for the Catalans.
- The recent history is against Barcelona for this fixture. They haven't beaten the capital side on their home ground since 2012, but Tata Martino's men will be encouraged by the previous meeting between the two in October, where they won comfortably.
- Interestingly, Neymar returns to the starting line-up for Barcelona. Many believe that the Brazilian has not been at his best lately and that Lionel Messi plays much better when the Brazilian is absent. Last weekend's rout of Osasuna was evidence of this but Tata Martino will find it hard to keep Neymar on the bench again. Aside from Neymar's inclusion, it is the same side that demolished the Pamplonans.
- Much will depend on Lionel Messi. This season Barca have not been at their vintage best, but when Messi has been on song, so to have Barca. Messi revels in playing against Los Blancos and should he get two goals he will attain the highest number of goals of any player in the history of El Clasico.
- While Barca ran out winners in this fixture earlier in the season, Madrid are a much better side than they were back then. Carlo Ancelotti's men have a clear idea now of their roles and this has shown in the great results they have achieved, which have enabled them to take the lead in the race for La Liga.
- With Messi scoring a hat-trick last weekend and Ronaldo also in great form, along with both sides being at full strength, the stage is set for a blockbuster game. There should be goals at both ends but, with Madrid the much stronger side defensively and playing in front of their fans they might just edge this one, and that could mean game-set-match for the title race.

- Tottenham's season has come crashing down with 3 losses in their last 4 games, with just about all hope of a top 4 finish now gone.
- Southampton are just playing out the rest of the season, but with so many players harbouring hopes of playing at the World Cup, they still have motivation to perform in the remaining 8 matches.
- Spurs boss Tim Sherwood's first Premier League game in charge of the team was a 3-2 win at St Mary's, but his last 3 games at White Hart Lane have ended in a 1-0 scoreline (2 wins and 1 loss), so this could be another low-scoring affair.

- Manchester City will be looking to exert their dominance in a home match against the league's bottom club having found it harder to score goals of late, with just 4 in their last 4 in the league.
- Fulham secured a vital win in their bid for survival last weekend but have scored just 12 goals in 15 away games thus far and a trip to the Etihad isn't an ideal game as they look to put together a run of results.
- The Cottagers have scored once in all four of their matches under Felix Magath but even if they could do so again against a makeshift City backline it's unlikely to be enough.

- Liverpool trounced United 3-0 at Old Trafford last week and will have no fears heading to Wales for a clash with relegation threatened Cardiff.
- The Bluebirds are second-from-bottom and are now 3 points from safety, so a game against the most in-form team in the league is not what they would have wanted.
- Cardiff will have gained some confidence from nearly taking a draw away from Merseyside last week, but they still very little chance of getting anything from this match.

- West Ham complained bitterly at Andy Carroll's red card and ensuing suspension, but they won each of the games he missed and have lost both games since he returned.
- He will start once again, but West Ham are by no means safe just yet, and need to improve again if they are to avoid a nail-biting end to the season.
- United's season looks like it could trail off with Champions League football now gone and Europa League qualification not all that desirable. David Moyes does, though, need results if only to get a few more of the fans on his side if he is to retain his job for next season.

- Chelsea will have been buoyed by their progress in the Champions League but must bounce back from the defeat at Villa last weekend against a fellow title rival.
- Victory for Arsenal would see the Gunners move to within one point of the Blues with a game in hand, while a home win would mean the gap becomes difficult to bridge for Wenger's men.
- This may well be a cagey affair due to the importance of the game, particularly in the opening exchanges, with Mourinho insisting on a solid defence before anything else in such crucial matches. The backlines could win out to ensure a draw that will please both City and Liverpool more than the two teams involved.

Juventus have managed to knock Trabzonspor out of the Europa League and win a very difficult match in San Siro against Milan without conceding a single goal.Fiorentina seem to have been preparing for the three upcoming matches against Juventus for some time as they are rivals historically, but they are not on top form.The Bianconeri have had some flaws in European matches, and in cups in general, but their dominance in the league has gained momentum by adapting to different matches with different playing styles. Similarly to what they have done against Napoli, Roma and Milan, Juve will probably sit back and leave Fiorentina to control the tempo of the match.

Their many injury worries could prove fatal, though, as they simply do not have sufficient cover at full-back to deal with the absences of Walker and Rose.Eden Hazard and Willian should tear Tottenham's makeshift defence to shreds if they are given half an opportunity, and that could well prove the difference as Chelsea continue their march towards reclaiming the title.

Yet, despite the typical hysteria, Barca did just beat Manchester City away in the Champions League and at home they remain an extremely formidable side, which means a win here is the likely outcome.Tata Martino was castigated for not playing Xavi in the defeat to La Real. The player himself expressed his discontent in not having been chosen, too. It therefore comes as no surprise that he will start this game, as Tata opts to revert to a more familiar-looking starting eleven.Neymar was criticised for his performance last weekend in the Basque country while Lionel Messi continues to draw criticism for his performances which many feel are not quite at the standard we are accustomed to seeing. Tata Martino will have to work on getting his two biggest stars gelling in the final third. They will be better supported with a more familiar midfield three running the show from the middle.Almeria have surprised many with how they have escaped the jaws of relegation. They are not safe yet however. They recently overcame Atletico Madrid at home and while they have only picked up a point in their last two, they have been showing the kind of fighting spirit that might just see them retain their top-flight status.

Real Madrid just go from strength to strength. Not only does Carlo Ancelotti have his front man firing on all cylinders, but the defence has been water-tight of late. Madrid have conceded just once in their last four outings in all competitions, while they have found the net fourteen times.The combination of Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo - a trio that Marca have labelled the BBC - are gelling perfectly as they so astonishingly showed at the Veltins Arena on Wednesday night. Madrid have the most in-form attack across the continent and they are sure to cause Atletico Madrid's defence - which has not looked its usual self lately - a number of headaches.While Carlo Ancelotti lines up his side in a 4-3-3, the movement of Angel Di Maria and Luka Modric make it resemble more of a 4-1-2-2-1 when going forward.
